Scriptures to Ponder

Do not let this book of the law depart from your mouth meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Joshua 1:8 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouth, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, so that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29 The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward apprearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. Jeremiah 29:11

My Pledge to Myself

So, I made this pledge to myself to STOP shopping. I bought 2 things online 2 nights ago. Maybe I have a problem. Maybe this is ANOTHER one of my "addictions". Maybe I've become an "emotional" shopper. Whatever the case "maybe" - I vowed to stop. Stop until I figure out how much money I'm going to make at my soon-to-be new job. Which may take until May. But seriously, I've shopped enough to last me until the next season, right?

Well, to my delight, my vacuum cleaner died on me the other day. I've had this one for several years & it wasn't a very good one. Now, it doesn't sound so great because who wants to spend their money on a vacuum. Ummmmm - ME!!! I have been eyeing the Roomba. I did some research online today about it & I am very excited. I think that I will be buying it. Now, remember my pledge? So this is my way of getting around that, because I need a vacuum, I cannot help it that it also comes in the form of a new toy! Yeah - my shopping drought was very short lived!

Have you heard of the Roomba? What do you think of it?

I think I'll just stick with a regular vacuum. I don't get pleasure out of purchasing products used for cleaning purposes.

I, however, am the epitome of an emotional shopper. There's nothing like shopping when I've had a hard day. It's good alone time with myself and I always feel better after buying something I don't need!

I'd have to see how it works before I buy one. Isn't it like a robot that does it for you. But does it know to stop at the top of the stairs? how does it get every single spot on the floor? I'll still with my 8 pound Oreck.
