WOF Follow Up

This is the email that I got this week inviting me to a try out for Wheel of Fortune.

Congratulations! You have been selected to attend aWHEEL OF FORTUNE contestant audition (by invitation only). We have reserved the following appointment for you:

When: June 3, 2009 Time: 1:30 PM

Where: Welk Resort Hotel Branson - Stage Door Restaurant ( Located inside Theatre lobby )

You are responsible for parking.

Keep in mind that Wheel of Fortune's contestant team is looking for enthusiastic puzzle solvers.
Ask yourself these questions before deciding to attend the audition:

*Do you think you can solve puzzles under pressure on national television?
(Everyone is good at Wheel of Fortune in the comfort of his/her living room!)
*Can you be heard calling out letters? (It sounds simple, but sometimes we cannot hear people.)
*Do you have a good presence and energy?

Please - don't spend time and money coming to the audition if you will not be able to show us your enthusiasm!

You need to RSVP as soon as possible to secure your place in the audition. Call (888)569-4335. When you RSVP, please do the following:

1) leave the date and time of your audition
2) leave your name (spell if difficult)
3) leave your phone number

Please do not leave any additional information.

Print out a copy of this invitation and bring it to the audition.

Be prepared to show picture identification.

Please read the following information carefully. It applies to everyone attending the audition:

*It’s important to be on time. Arrive about 15 minutes ahead of time.

*Unfortunately, we cannot change your audition time or date.

*All expenses incurred while interviewing and appearing on the show are your responsibility. Due to the fact that's it's difficult to become a contestant on Wheel of Fortune, we discourage people from making long trips and incurring expenses (gas, hotel, baby sitters, etc.) to audition for the show.

*Due to limited seating, the audition is closed. If anyone does accompany you to the audition, they will be asked to wait outside the audition room. Please do not bring children.

*This is a group audition. Dress is casual/neat. You’ll play a series of simulated Wheel of Fortune games. You’ll also take a five-minute written test based on the word puzzles that are used on the show. If you’re selected at the end of that part of the audition, you’ll be asked to remain and play a more intensive series of simulated games. You may be asked to stand in front of the group and talk about yourself. Depending upon how far you advance in the audition process, you may be there anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. (Note: please do not chew gum during the audition.)

*If you need glasses, be sure to bring them with you. No one can assist you during the test.

*You must be at least 18 years of age.

*You are not eligible to play Wheel of Fortune if you work for or are related to anyone who works for Sony Pictures Television Inc., Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc., the Canadian Broadcasting Company, any television stations or networks (including advertisers and related radio stations) which broadcast Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy!, The Griffin Group, CBS Distribution Group, or prize suppliers. You are not eligible to appear on Wheel of Fortune if you have appeared on another game show/relationship show/dating show/reality show in the last year or any three of the above types of shows in the last ten years. You are not eligible if you have appeared on any version of Wheel of Fortune (including "Teen Week"). We reserve the right to refuse the test, interview, or guarantee an appointment or an appearance on Wheel of Fortune.
